I came to know Peter through a shared love of a certain type of music and traditional dance. Like many of his friends, I was a grateful recipient of copies of folk and world music and invitations to concerts, gigs and festivals. We would regularly meet at the bar at the annual Cropredy Festival organised around Fairport Convention each August. He became a good friend and it was a privilege to attend today's beautiful celebrations of his legacy and the effect on the lives of the people with whom he came into contact.
